The project consisted of renovating vacant office space to provide a new 2,850-square-foot Apheresis Clinic at Moffitt’s Magnolia Campus. This outpatient clinic allows treatment for medical conditions in which part of the blood containing disease-provoking elements is removed and/or replaced with donor blood. The design team, led by Ryan Murphy, was challenged to adequately provide space within the bays for the patient, family/guest member and the substantial amount of equipment required. The clinic’s design incorporates natural light into the space to maximize comfort and spaciousness for the patients and staff.
LDCi worked with engineering firm SSR, Inc. to develop Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Engineering plans. Close collaboration with LDCi, SSR, Moffitt’s team and Wehr Constructors, Inc. was required for delivering a welcoming environment for the clinic’s patients.
